Censure: One Can Dream
In a somewhat gutsy, though pointless move, Senator Feingold of Wisconsin announced on ABC’s “This Week” that he would introduce a resolution to censure George Bush for his illegal wiretapping program.

In our Republican controlled Senate, this will never go anywhere. The Republicans, who once again show that they are the epitome of all things evil and overall icky, will never allow for this to happen. Privacy rights of their constituents are not a priority for them, apparently.

Though it is a futile effort, I’m glad that people such as Feingold are talking about these issues. If they are swept under the rug, citizens who vote for Republicans will never realize the things that they are losing, while under control. There are some, who will simply brush this off and say that they are losing no freedoms. This is not for them. This is for the Republicans who actually care about freedoms and liberties, and who will actually take a stand against their party. Hopefully, through actions like this, some Republicans will get a better understanding of what their party is truly about and proceed to move forward without them.

Hopefully.
